Well written book full of details and advice - a lot of which I have not found by googling or on YouTube. The author is very conversational in her writing making for a easy read. Throughout the book, you’ll also find QR codes that associate to specific content leading you to an enhanced digital experience. Last, but not least, the author provides a special portal to reach out direct with specific questions for a very personalized experience.

I am a returning goldfish owner who has not had a fish in 8ys after my 6yr Goldie died; bought several “thought” I did right and 2 weeks later they died from ammonia poisoning before I knew what was wrong - blood lines in fins. So I am determined to do it again. Read this book as a guide.

I have kept goldfish for over 40 years and this is the best book I've read. I like the way that it manages to contain a whole wealth of knowledge presented in a very easy-to-read format. I would recommend this book to everyone from those new to keeping goldfish to those with more experience. It's definitely my go-to!

This is my favorite go-to reference book for anything goldfish. Nicely designed, beautiful illustrations, easy to understand, extensive content for almost anything you need to know about the goldfish hobby.

I purchased the paperback version, so this may read differently on the kindle version.I've been in the hobby for years now and am always looking for more information to educate myself to ensure a better quality of life for my fish, and therefore I am able to enjoy the hobby more myself. This book does have a lot of good information and if I was going to recommend just one source of information to a beginner, it would be this one. There are, however, things I would improve like the images/pictures used. They are very rudimentary and all in black in white. Actually, the entire book is in black and white. There are words that are more bolded than others but I think the method used makes it more difficult to find headings and information within the book. I think if colors were used, it would be easier to navigate through the book. This may sound trivial to some people but the color (or lack thereof) made it difficult for me to read and navigate the book.All subjects are throughout the whole book, not just in sections. Hopefully that made sense. For example, the book doesn't just have a section in the beginning about water quality, it discusses water quality throughout the whole book in many different sections. This makes sense when you've been in the hobby because all subjects are affected by each other but there isn't just one "place" that you can refer to about a specific topic.There are definitely name drops in this book. Most of the people mentioned are very reputable (Dandy Orandas is amazing) but there are also other people in the business that are wonderful as well that aren't mentioned (KingKoiGoldfish). Do your research. There are also many people who are terrible. There are also products mentioned by brand. My recommendation would be to do your research about these as well. There are many brands to choose from and some work better than others for different people.Overall, yes I recommend this book, but there is still definitely room for improvement and I recommend dealing with reputable people and products that are willing to back up their work (Seachem, for example, is excellent with customer service and information/help).
